Dhanush vs Nayanthara case:
Dhanush has filed a civil lawsuit against Nayanthara, accusing her of using footage from his production Naanum Rowdy Dhaan without permission in her Netflix documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale. The Madras High Court has asked Nayanthara to respond to the case at the next hearing. Dhanush’s production company, Wunderbar Films, has also sued Nayanthara’s husband, Vignesh Shivan, and their company Rowdy Pictures, claiming they used the footage illegally.
Dhanush’s company is seeking the court’s approval to sue Los Gatos Production Services India, which handles Netflix’s content in India. The court agreed, nothing that part of the issue falls under its jurisdiction. As a result, Nayanthara will need to respond to the lawsuit soon.

This legal dispute over the use of footage has become widely discussed. Dhanush claims that the documentary used clips from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan without permission, and he has asked for compensation of Rs 10 crore, as well as for the footage to be removed. After receiving the lawsuit, Nayanthara responded with an open letter criticizing Dhanush for holding a personal grudge against her. She also stated that the footage was obtained from private devices. Despite their past, the two actors are now in a public feud.
