Rajinikanth’s house:
Dhanush is gearing up for his second directorial project, Raayan, where he also plays the lead role. On July 6, he attended the grand audio launch event for this Tamil action drama in Chennai.
Raayan marks Dhanush’s 50th film, a significant milestone for the actor known for his role in Vada Chennai. Reflecting on his journey, Dhanush became emotional, expressing gratitude for his debut film, Thulluvadho Ilamai. He mentioned that if his debut had not been successful, his career might have turned out very differently. He said, “If Thulluvadho Ilamai didn’t do well, we would have lost everything. The gift of 16-year-old Venkatesh’s 20-year hard work as Dhanush was that Poes Garden house.”
Thulluvadho Ilamai, released in 2002, is a teen drama directed by Dhanush’s father, Kasthuri Raja, and written by his brother, Selvaraghavan.
At the event, Dhanush also shared a personal story about Rajinikanth’s Poes Garden house in Chennai. Despite facing backlash after his divorce from Aishwarya Rajinikanth, he has maintained his composure. Addressing his critics in a light-hearted manner, he shared his fondness for Rajinikanth and a heartfelt story about the house.
Dhanush said, “Why can’t I buy a house in Poes Garden? There’s a small story about my Poes Garden house. You all know whose fan I am. I wanted to see Thalaivar’s house.” He added that at 16, he saw Rajinikanth’s and Jayalalitha’s houses and dreamt of owning a house in the same area.
