Devara part 1 box office collection day 5: Jr NTR’s film faces a dip on Tuesday
Jr NTR’s much-anticipated film Devara Part 1 had a record-breaking opening at the box office, collecting an impressive ₹82.5 crore on its first day. The film continued to perform well during the weekend, earning ₹78.1 crore, according to Sacnilk, making it one of the top-grossing films of the year. However, after a strong weekend, the movie saw a noticeable dip in collections on Monday and Tuesday.
On its fourth day (Monday), Devara saw a major drop, with earnings falling by 68.05%. It brought in ₹12.75 crore that day, with the Telugu version contributing ₹8.2 crore, the Hindi version ₹4 crore, and the remaining from other regional versions such as Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam.
By day 5 (Tuesday), the film’s earnings dropped further. As of 4 PM on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, Devara Part 1 had collected ₹4.49 crore. This brought its total domestic earnings to ₹177.84 crore. The film’s performance is expected to pick up during evening shows, as is common with weekday collections for big-budget releases.
Internationally, Devara has also performed remarkably well, grossing ₹62 crore overseas, bringing the total worldwide collection to ₹267.15 crore by the end of its fourth day.
The film stars Jr NTR alongside Janhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, and Prakash Raj. Directed by Koratala Siva and produced by NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts, Devara Part 1 has been praised for its strong performances and high production value.
Despite the dip on its first Monday and Tuesday, industry experts are optimistic that the film will regain momentum in the coming days, especially as it heads into the second weekend.
