Devara: Janhvi Kapoor’s new scene and Daavudi song included; find out where
Devara, directed by Koratala Siva and starring Jr NTR, has become a massive hit at the box office. This movie marks the second collaboration between Junior NTR and Koratala Siva, following the success of their earlier film, Janatha Garage. From the very beginning, Devara carried high expectations, especially since it is Junior NTR’s next release after the global success of RRR. Fans from different languages and countries have eagerly awaited its release, and the film has lived up to the hype.
Released on September 27, Devara immediately made waves. The film started earning impressive collections from the very first show, quickly breaking even in both Telugu and Hindi languages. To further boost the movie’s earnings, the filmmakers have come up with a new strategy.
A special song Daavudi which was initially filmed but not included in the theatrical release, has now been added to the movie. Additionally, a new scene featuring Janhvi Kapoor has been included. In the second half of the film, there’s a scene where some bullies make Vara’s sisters cry. Junior NTR’s character punishes the bullies, and right after this, the new scene has been inserted. In this added sequence, Janhvi Kapoor’s character informs her father, played by Srikanth, about the incident, which leads into the song.
This move comes after fans of Janhvi Kapoor expressed disappointment that her role in the original cut of the film was too small. With these additions, it’s expected that not only Junior NTR’s fans but also Janhvi Kapoor’s fans will return to theaters to watch the film again.
Another factor that works in Devara’s favor is the timing. With the Dussehra holidays approaching and no major Telugu film releases scheduled for the next week, Devara is expected to maintain its strong box office momentum. The release of Sri Vishnu’s movie Swag is not predicted to affect Devara’s success. It seems likely that Devara will continue to dominate the box office for another week, extending its successful run.
