Devara, starring Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan, is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Directed by Koratala Siva, the action drama marks the Telugu cinema debut of both Janhvi and Saif. Notably, Jr NTR plays a double role in this film, and Saif’s character, Bhaira, adds a dark, villainous twist. The film also stars Prakash Raj, Srikanth, and other prominent actors in key roles.
The movie revolves around Devara, a fearless man who will do anything for his loved ones. With such a star-studded cast and engaging storyline, Devara generated significant buzz before its release and had an impressive opening weekend.
On its first day, Devara collected a massive Rs 82.5 crore at the box office. However, there was a significant drop on the second day, with collections dipping to Rs 38.2 crore. On the third day, the film earned Rs 39.9 crore, bringing the opening weekend total to Rs 160.6 crore.
Despite this strong start, Devara experienced a major decline in box office numbers on its fourth day, which was the first Monday after release. According to early reports, the film earned Rs 7.22 crore on Monday, bringing its overall earnings to Rs 167.82 crore. While the film is nearing the Rs 170 crore mark, this drop raises questions about its momentum for the rest of the week.
Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan shared his experience of working with Jr NTR, praising the RRR star’s transformation into a larger-than-life presence on camera while maintaining a down-to-earth demeanor off-screen.
