Demonte Colony 2 is a sequel to the successful Tamil horror film and is now set to release in Telugu on August 23rd. The movie, directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, was well-received in Tamil Nadu, leading to high expectations for its Telugu version.
The film’s premiere was held a few days back in Hyderabad, attracting a large audience, including media personnel. The story revolves around the characters played by Arulnithi and Priya Bhavani Shankar. While the first half of the movie successfully sets a tense and suspenseful atmosphere, the second half struggles to maintain the same level of intensity. The audience might feel the thrill that was expected in the latter part of the movie is missing.
On the technical side, the visuals and background score are commendable. However, some VFX sequences fall short of expectations. The performances by the lead actors are notable, with Priya Bhavani Shankar standing out in her role. A unique aspect of the sequel is the inclusion of Buddhist monks as exorcists, adding a fresh perspective to the horror genre.
Despite the Telugu dubbing being done well, the film’s second half, which takes place in a single location, does not manage to impress fully. Demonte Colony 2 may not deliver the spine-chilling experience that fans of the genre crave, but it does have its moments.
