Post her marriage, Samantha Akkineni looked like she is going to break the stereotype by delivering back-to-back hits like ‘Rangasthalam’ and ‘Abhimanyudu’. But, two flops damaged her career and she need to deliver a hit to sustain.
Her Tamil outing ‘Seemaraja’ with Siva Karthikeyan failed badly at the box-office. Her most ambitious bilingual ‘U Turn’ too met with the same fate by ending up in losses. She currently has two films is her kitty. First in the list is ‘Super Deluxe’ which has a great star cast including her, Vijay Sethupati, Ramya Krishnan and others. Other one is ‘Majili’(working title) directed by Shiva Nirvana which has herself and Naga Chaitanya playing the lead roles.
Both these films need to be successful to extend her career in both the industries. Hope she passes her crucial test.
