Creative director Krishna Vamshi is known for making some high scale family oriented emotional dramas. The director is now busy in the making of an action drama Nakshatram with Sundeep Kishan. Latest buzz reveals that KV is now planning to remake the classic devotional flick, Bhakta Kannappa.
According to sources, Manchu Vishnu will play the role of Kannappa in this film. Tanikella Bharani will pen the dialogues and screenplay. Earlier Bharani wanted to remake the film with Sunil but it was later called off. The movie will be made on a high budget by Vishnu’s home banner- 24 frames film works.
Bhakta Kannappa is a 1976 devotional flick directed by Bapu. It had Krishnam Raju and Vani Shri in the lead roles.
