Performances
After a long time, it was so good to see Aadi in a fresh avatar. He looks posh and suits his role superbly. He does not overact and plays his role convincingly. Narra Sreenu creates good comedy with the hero and he is one of the mainstay. Heroine Digangana is very good and has a good role to showcase her talent. Tamil actress, Vinodini gets a superb role and all her scenes with Aadi are funny. Anish Kuruvilla is also amazing as Aadi’s brother. Heroine Mirnaa was okay in her small role.
Analysis
The film is based on a dating App and starts on a good note. Aadi’s falling for a girl whom he does not see looks outdated but it is presented in a very fresh manner. The first half is breezy and does not bore the audience. The track between Narra Sreenu and Aadi is the saving grace and keeps the audience on their toes.
The songs showcased are also good and come at the proper time. Aadi has danced nicely in the film filled with good visuals. The interval bang is good and keeps the audience tense. The way the triangular love story is dealt with in the second half was very good. The confusion comedy at the end is also handled properly.
The film has a few predictable scenes as well in the first half as the comedy shown is a bit over. The second half makes sense when all the threads are attached. The second heroine’s track does not gel with the story but the fun narration makes us ignore the small issues. Crazy Fellow has good moments and is predictable too. But that does not mean it is boring. It is a time pass comedy that you can try without any reservations.
Bottom Line – Okay Okay Types
