After seven months, the Telangana government shared an update on COVID cases. On Tuesday, the state reported four new positive cases, totaling nine active cases. The recovery rate remains high at 99.51%, with no new recoveries reported on Monday. The state conducted 402 tests on Tuesday.
Moreover, within the past day, Telangana conducted 925 diagnostic tests, identifying six new positive cases, making the total tally 19. One person recovered, leaving 19 individuals currently affected. The health department expects reports from 54 people in isolation, causing concern about a new wave of COVID in the state.
It’s crucial to maintain vigilance and promptly report cases to prevent further spread. The bulletin stressed precautions for various age groups, advising children under 10, pregnant women, and those above 60 to avoid unnecessary outdoor activities. The age group between 20 and 50 was noted to be more susceptible to COVID. Wearing masks and maintaining physical distance are strongly recommended.
Furthermore, people with underlying health conditions like hypertension, diabetes, heart problems, kidney issues, lung diseases, cancer, or any chronic illness were advised to stay indoors as per the bulletin’s guidelines.
