After scoring blockbusters like Arjun Reddy and Geeta Govindham, Vijay Deverakonda’s stardom reached the next level and a lot of expectations were built on his immediate films. After Geeta Govindham, NOTA turned out to be a flop and Taxiwaala proved to be a commercially safe venture.
A lot of hype has surrounded his recent film Dear Comrade. The aggressive promotions are also one of the major reasons for this hype. Finally, the film had hit the screens and got a divided talk among the audience. Though the collections were good during the weekend, they dropped drastically in the weekdays.
As Dear Comrade failed at the box-office, a lot of pressure is being put on Kranthi Madhav, who is directing Vijay’s next film. Vijay needs one more major blockbuster to sustain his stardom and that responsibility is on Kranthi Madhav right now. Also, Vijay scored a flop with Meeku Mathrame Cheptha which is another headache for him.
We have to see whether this sensible director who made films like Onamaalu and Malli Malli Idhi Rani Roju will score a huge blockbuster or not.
