The promos of Colour Photo took the audience genuinely by surprise in the previous month. It’s not a regular sight for a small-budgeted film to have received so much attention merely through word of mouth. Starring Suhas, Sunil, Chandini Chowdary in the lead roles, the film, written by Hrudaya Kaleyam maker Sai Rajesh, promises to be a light-hearted take on a relationship between a beautiful woman and a guy who believes he’s modest looking.
Amid the COVID-19 scare, the team of Colour Photo came together for a press meet where the cast and crew promoted their film with zest. Chandini Chowdary spoke fondly about the role she had in the film. “A lot of people generally speak of how they saw a lot of themselves in the roles they play. However, I can assure that audiences will see a lot of their mothers, aunts through the role I play. It will remind them of times when relationships were purer and less materialistic. The director Sandeep has put in a lot of effort into my characterisation,” she said.
She had high words of praise for the cinematographer for giving a unique visual tone to the film and remains hopeful that Kaala Bhairava’s music would resonate with the audiences. “It certainly cast a spell on us,” Chandini signed off. Sunil turns antagonist for the first time in his career with Colour Photo. The makers are yet to finalise a release avenue between theatres and OTT platforms.
