Chiyaan Vikram’s Remuneration: Is it half of Veera Dheera Sooran’s budget?
Chiyaan Vikram’s latest film Veera Dheera Sooran has become a hot topic not only for its action-packed storyline but also for the actor’s reported remuneration. Following the success of Thangalaan fans eagerly anticipated Vikram’s next project and his paycheck has now caught everyone’s attention.
Reports suggest that Vikram earned around ₹30 crore for Veera Dheera Sooran, which was initially thought to be more than half of the film’s budget. However, a Times of India report clarified that this amount covers both parts of the franchise. The total budget of the two-part film is estimated to be between ₹100–110 crore, meaning Vikram’s fee is actually less than half of the overall cost.
Despite the speculation, neither Vikram nor the filmmakers have confirmed these figures. Meanwhile, Veera Dheera Sooran faced a brief setback before its release due to financial complications. The theatrical debut was halted at the last moment because the OTT rights holder had not finalized their deal. The issue was eventually resolved, allowing the film to release on March 27.
Following the incident, the film’s producer publicly apologized to Vikram, director S.U. Arun Kumar, and the audience. He clarified that the delay was not due to the producers’ financial struggles but rather a last-minute renegotiation to safeguard investments.
