Chiyaan Vikram’s film faces legal trouble before release

Chiyaan Vikram’s Tamil film Veera Dheera Sooran was scheduled to release on March 27 but it encountered a major legal hurdle just before its premiere. Fans were eagerly waiting for the film’s box office clash with Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan but last-minute legal issues caused delays in its screening.

Reports suggest that multiplex chains like PVR and Cinepolis have postponed the film’s shows until after 10 AM. This delay is due to a legal dispute with Mumbai-based production company B4U. The company filed a complaint against the film’s producer, claiming a contract breach over OTT rights. Allegedly, the rights were supposed to be sold before the theatrical release. Following this, the Delhi High Court issued an interim stay on the film’s screening until 10:30 AM, affecting early morning shows.

Additionally, sources reveal that the USA premiere shows have been canceled, further disappointing fans and exhibitors. The film’s producer, Riya Shibu is currently in Delhi, attempting to resolve the legal matters. A resolution is expected soon, and screenings may resume after 11 AM.

Meanwhile Veera Dheera Sooran has struggled with pre-release buzz, and this setback has added to the challenges. Directed by SU Arun Kumar, the film is an action thriller starring Chiyaan Vikram, SJ Suryah, Dushara Vijayan, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Siddique. GV Prakash Kumar has composed the music.

Fans now await updates on the film’s release, hoping the legal issues will be sorted quickly.
