From Loser to Chadarangam to Gods Of Dharmapuri, ZEE5 has been at the forefront of delivering impressive regional content. From original web series to films and direct-to-OTT feature releases, ZEE5 tapped into the potential of the Telugu digital space to good effect. Their upcoming show has the platform collaborating with producers Sushmita Konidela and Vishnu Prasad.
The Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy costume designer and her husband Vishnu Prasad have launched Goldbox Entertainments, a production house recently. And they are foraying into the digital world as producers with a crime drama based on true events. The show is set to be an 8-episode-long web series amid a terrorism backdrop. Anand Ranga, the director of ‘Oye!’, who is wielding the megaphone after a long gap, is making his presence felt in the digital space with this show.
The web series is inspired by several true events involving a cop and a bunch of notorious criminal stories from Hyderabad. Producer Sushmita Konidela added, “We, at Goldbox Entertainments are happy to announce our collaboration with the highly famed digital platform ZEE5 for our first web series production. This project is directed by Anand Ranga.” Actors Prakash Raj and Sampath Raj will play key roles in the web series, which is being currently shot with all the necessary and safety measures in Hyderabad.
