Acharya shocked everyone with the way it performed at the box office. The film ended as a mega-disaster and has no takers even though it was a festival release some time back.
The film lost close to 40 crores and this has fallen on the heads of the distributors who slammed Chiru and son to compensate for the losses they faced.
Today in an interaction, Chiranjeevi revealed that he and his son returned almost 80% of their fees and compensated the distributors a bit. The film has disappointed many and the blame has fallen on Koratala Siva who has directed the film.
