Chiranjeevi and his blame game: Who is he talking about?
Chiranjeevi, one of Tollywood’s biggest stars, recently received the prestigious Akkineni National Award for his contributions to the film industry. The award ceremony, held at Annapurna Studio, had Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan as the chief guest. During the event, Chiranjeevi shared his emotions and spoke about a painful experience that had weighed on his heart for 17 years.
In his speech, Chiranjeevi recalled a Telugu saying, “Inta Gelichi, Racha Gelawali,” meaning “Win at home, then win outside.” He explained that while he had succeeded in the film industry, he had not felt fully victorious as he received many awards outside but not within his own industry. He referred to an incident during the Tollywood Vijayotsavam festival, where he received a legendary award but faced harsh criticism from certain individuals. As a result, Chiranjeevi felt he could not fully celebrate the honor at the time.

However, Chiranjeevi expressed happiness in receiving the Akkineni National Award, especially from Amitabh Bachchan. He emotionally stated that he had now won both “at home” and “outside,” referring to overcoming the negative comments he faced years ago. While his words touched many, they also sparked controversy.
Some anti-fans have started making negative comments about Chiranjeevi’s speech. They questioned why he brought up the Mohan Babu issue now. Some even pointed out that after Acharya failed, Chiranjeevi had blamed the film’s director, Koratala Siva, on multiple occasions. With all this, anti-fans are asking why Chiranjeevi is unnecessarily digging into past issues. Many believe his comments about refusing an award at the Vajrotsavam event, due to his dislike for Mohan Babu, were unnecessary at the ANR awards.
While some criticize Chiranjeevi for his remarks, his loyal fans continue to support him, arguing that he is being unfairly targeted with negativity.
