Chandrababu Naidu explains why he won’t arrest Jagan

Chandrababu Naidu is the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He was arrested in a questionable scam case during Jagan Mohan Reddy’s tenure. The public criticized Jagan for this arrest. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won the elections with a huge margin.

After the NDA came to power, some TDP loyalists felt Jagan might also be jailed. They believed that since Jagan had arrested Chandrababu, he could face the same fate.

Chandrababu, however, did not think about arresting Jagan. He is a calm and composed politician. He avoided taking any action against Jagan.

In a media interaction, Chandrababu made his intentions clear. He stated that he had no plans for revenge. He said, “The Adani power scandal and the Tirumala Laddu issue could give a reason to arrest Jagan. We could have jailed him easily after coming to power. But that is not our way of operating.”

Chandrababu emphasized that there would be no revenge in politics during his tenure. He said, “We are here to serve the public, not to seek revenge.”

Chandrababu’s statement makes it clear that he is not interested in revenge. Even though he was wrongfully jailed by Jagan, he does not want to retaliate. Some TDP loyalists expected some action against Jagan. However, Chandrababu does not share that view.
