Bollywood celebrities and other prominent journalists have welcomed the Supreme Court verdict of legalising the same sex law. The apex court headed by five-judge bench had ruled out section 377 calling the colonial-era law irrational and arbitrary that prohibits “carnal intercourse against the order of nature with any man, woman or animal”.
