In a stunning twist of events, soon after the film Kalki 2898 AD made an impressive gross collection reaching nearly ₹1000 crores and acclaimed both Nag Ashwin, its director, and Prabhas, its star on an epic scale, a big controversy just emerged.

The producers and actors of the film have been served with a legal notice by Acharya Pramod Krishnam who is Kalki Peethadheeshwar of Shri Kalki Dham. The spiritual leader contends that the movie portrays and misrepresents Lord Kalki as described in religious Hindu texts thus hurting Hindu sentiments.

“The very foundation of Lord Kalki has been altered from what we know from Hindu scriptures. The plot and depiction of Lord Kalki’s story are completely wrong and offensive to holy books revered by millions of Hindus and followers of Kalki,” explained Acharya Pramod Krishnam.

The makers have fifteen days to respond through this legal notice. Failure to do so could result in both civil and criminal cases according to Acharya Pramod Krishnam. There is great expectation for a reaction from those behind the movie Kalki 2898 AD.
