Can Jr NTR truly conquer Bollywood?
Jr NTR enjoyed a safe box office success with his recent film Devara after the massive success of RRR. Devara performed well, ensuring a stable run at the box office and sustaining Jr NTR’s growing popularity. However, his reach in the Hindi market has been somewhat inconsistent.
Devara managed to collect approximately ₹65 crore in its full Hindi run. While this is a respectable number, it fell short of the expectations set after RRR. To address this, Jr NTR seems to have made a calculated choice by signing War 2.

War 2, directed by the talented Ayan Mukerjee, is a straight Hindi film. It also stars Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan, which adds immense value. For Jr NTR, this project could significantly boost his connection with the Hindi audience. Some may argue that the film’s credit in the Hindi belt will go to Hrithik and the director. However, the exposure it brings to Jr NTR cannot be overlooked.
War 2 could pave the way for NTR’s stronger Bollywood presence. It is expected to create a solid foundation for his future projects, including his upcoming film with Prashanth Neel. Though some may doubt whether War 2 was the right choice, the potential rewards outweigh the risks.
After Devara’s limited success in the Hindi market, Jr NTR clearly needs to build a deeper connection with Hindi-speaking audiences. War 2 appears to be a step in the right direction, opening new opportunities for the actor.
