It is just not in the Telugu film industry, most actors in Bollywood and Kollywood too are hesitant, unwilling to participate in crowded set songs and other scenes. Some experiments have been done by flagging off web series shootings for OTT but after a few days it had to be postponed as one member or the other got the coronavirus infection. The makers of Bunty Aur Babli 2 wanted to resume shooting with a huge song and dance, but the actors are afraid. Imagine working with 200 chorus dancers? Lead actors Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji might be safe but what about the remaining 200 people if they shoot for the song in the start of August? Producer Aditya Chopra has planned an elaborate choreographic confection with profusion of chorus dancers.
Source informs the media, “They’ve already expressed their unhappiness with being put in such a heavy crowd during these times of corona contagion. Of course Aditya Chopra will be taking every possible precaution. But Saif and Rani would rather have the song situation scaled down, since scrapping it is not possible, as it comes at an essential juncture in the story.” Since the heroine of Bunty Aur Babli 2 also happens to be the producer’s wife, convincing Aditya Chopra to change the choreographic scale should not be difficult.
