Plot
Mark(Sai Dharam Tej) is a family man who passes away in a road accident. He then encounters Time (Pawan Kalyan) who is like God and asks him to come back with him to Yamalokam. But Mark requests Time to give him one more chance so that he will finish his family commitments. Well, the rest of the story is about how Mark and Time go back and set things right.
Performances
Pawan Kalyan plays a guest role was the news coming in but that is not the case as he is there throughout the film and kills it with his performance. He is at ease in front of the camera and gives so many fan moments. All his scenes with Sai Dharam Tej have come out well. Sai Dharam is just about okay in the film. He looked restless and as he played the main role, he should have done a lot better. Rohini, Priya Varrier, and Raja did their roles neatly. Ketika Sharma gets a good role and does well. But it is Pawan Kalyan who steals the show.
What’s Good
Pawan Kalyan performance
Sai Tej-Pawan Kalyan scenes
Reusage of Pawan Kalyan songs
What’s Bad
Dull emotions
Rushed second half
Analysis
BRO is the official remake of Smauthirakani’s Vinodhaya Sitham and has been adapted by Trivikram in Telugu. As there is Pawan Kalyan in the picture, the scale is huge and the star cast is wide. Pawa Kalyan plays the role of God and he has single-handedly held the film and made it entertaining. The first half of the film has many fan moments and the best part is when the old songs of Pawan Kalyan are used as background score.
Thaman’s music is not that great but he has elevated the film with his impressive BGM. The camerawork, VFX, and other aspects are decent. But the dialogues by Trivikram are disappointing and miss the mark. The emotions in the film could have been a lot better, especially in the second half of the film. They are not on point and one gets a feeling that they are rushed.
Sai Dharam had a meaty role and if performed well, the film would have gone to the next level for sure. But that does not happen and the film misses the emotional angle in many areas. But still, Pawan Kalyan makes sure that whenever he is on screen, the audience gets entertained and that is what happens with BRO. It has a little for everyone and ends as a decent watch this weekend.
Bottom Line- Pawan Kalyan’s show all the way
3/5
