Despite the complaint that there is so much of mass element in Vinaya Vidheya Rama, director Boyapati is unmoved. He says there would be no change in the publicity style of VVRama. Confiding in his close chums, Boyapati admitted that he initially wanted to promote family aspect and sentiment in the trailer to attract the family audience like he did for Jana Janaki Nayaka.

But, he had a change of heart before the trailer. He felt that since the film has a lot of drama and action, he did not want to sugar-coat it with a family sentiment. He did not want to mislead the viewers and wanted to give a fairly good idea of the content of the film. Hence the action-loaded posters.
He feels the family drama and comedy in the movie will act as surprise elements. That explains why Cherry looks like Rambo in the posters and Cherry-Vivek Oberoi scenes looked like a clash of the titans. But, on the flip side, the film might alienate the family audience.
