Joining the list of the film releases on streaming platforms, Bombhaat released today on Amazon Prime Telugu. Popular filmmaker K Raghavender Rao presented the film while Raghavendra Varma made his debut as a director. Touted to be a sci-fi drama, the movie features young actors Simran Chaudhary, Sushant Reddy, Chandini Chowdary in the lead roles.
Plot:
Vicky (Sushant Reddy) considers himself an unlucky person in life. He becomes friends with a scientist Acharya (Shishir Sharma) who is very close to his daughter Maya (Simran Chaudhary). Meanwhile, another scientist (Makarand Deshpande) is after Maya’s life. In this process, Vicky learns that Maya is a humanoid robot. The rest of the film’s plot is Vicky learning the connection between the two scientists and the incidents that followed in creating the humanoid robot.
Actors & Performances:
Among all the actors, Simran Chaudhary is only impressive in the movie. She looked beautiful and carried herself well on the screen. Her screen presence is impressive. The rest of the cast failed to leave their mark. Sushant Reddy’s character did not give him enough scope to come up with a good performance. Chandini Chowdary, on the other hand, looked different on the screen. Her look did not suit her role and her performance is not up to the mark. Senior cast Shishir Sharma and Makarand Deshpande also could not make their presence felt. The other actors Tanikella Bharani, Priyadarshi, Hema, and others are just okay.
Analysis:
Bombhaat is one of the weakest movies released on streaming platforms in recent times. The film never really engages us because of the weak plot and unimpressive execution. The film has a lot of flaws that distract us from establishing a connection with the movie. The narration is weak and lacks clarity. The story goes directionless and the director failed to convey the point he picked up. The sci-fi angle is of no help for the film. Although the twist creates a little excitement in the film, the director failed to handle it in an impressive manner.
Most of the scenes in the film miss logic and turn up silly. The songs appear as speed breakers in the movie. Technically, the film is not up to the mark. Josh B’s songs fail to attract listeners. The picturization of the songs is dull. The background score is loud and goes non-sync with the flow of the movie. The camera work is good in some scenes and the graphics look amateurish.
Bombhaat highly depends on the sci-fi angle in the story but the film is not told in that direction. Unnecessary tracks and silly execution make the film a bore-fest. The film lacks a strong story that could keep us hooked. On the whole, Bombhaat is silly and boring.
