Pooja Hegde, who once was a part of industry hit films like Aala Vaikuntapuram lo, has faced a string of setbacks in her career recently. Despite her past successes, her recent films Radha Shyam, Acharya, and Beast have not performed well at the box office, affecting both her career and those of her co-stars.
After stepping away from the project Guntur Kaaram, Pooja Hegde’s presence in the Telugu film industry has diminished. Once regarded as one of the top heroines in Telugu cinema, she has lost several promising opportunities, leading to a decline in attention towards her.
However, rather than waiting for opportunities in the South, Pooja Hegde has shifted her focus to Bollywood. She is currently occupied with multiple projects in her pipeline, including the upcoming film Deva, directed by Rosshan Andrrews, where she stars alongside Shahid Kapoor. Deva is slated for release on Dusshera, October 11, 2024.
In addition to Deva, Pooja Hegde is set to appear opposite Kartik Aaryan in an untitled project, marking their first onscreen collaboration. She recently announced another exciting venture, Sanki, directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, which is scheduled for a Valentine’s Day 2025 release. In Sanki, she will be seen opposite Ahan Shetty.
With a diverse range of projects in her lineup, Pooja Hegde aims to seize the opportunities presented by Bollywood while keeping herself busy away from the South Indian film industry.
