Bollywood hero to replace Suriya in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s film?

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is reportedly shifting gears on his highly anticipated project, Irumbu Kai Mayavi. Initially rumored to feature Tamil actor Suriya in the lead, recent buzz suggests Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan might take on the role instead. Although there is no official confirmation discussions between Lokesh and Aamir seem to indicate a promising collaboration.

The movie inspired by the DC Comics character The Steel Claw follows the story of a protagonist who loses his hand and replaces it with a powerful metal claw. With enhanced abilities, he takes on the role of a crime-fighting vigilante. This unique premise has generated considerable excitement among fans of superhero films.

Earlier, Suriya was expected to headline the project but scheduling conflicts with his upcoming movie Retro, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, might have caused the delay. Meanwhile, Aamir Khan’s potential involvement hints at Lokesh aiming for a broader audience by collaborating with the Bollywood icon.

Apart from Irumbu Kai Mayavi, Lokesh is also busy directing Coolie starring Rajinikanth. This action-packed film will showcase the superstar in a dark role, with notable actors like Nagarjuna Akkineni, Shruti Haasan, and Sathyaraj in supporting roles. Interestingly, Aamir Khan is rumored to make a cameo appearance in this movie as well.

For now, both Suriya and Lokesh remain tight-lipped about Irumbu Kai Mayavi. Fans are eagerly waiting for an official announcement to confirm whether this ambitious superhero flick will mark the first collaboration between Lokesh Kanagaraj and Aamir Khan.
