Performances
Kalyan Ram gives his career best performance with this film. He nails it as Bimbisara and shocks everyone with his negative look and body language. It is only him who makes things work and carries the film on his shoulders. Catherine Tresa is the princess and she is superb in her small role. Samyuka Hegde is hardly there in the film. Srinivasa Reddy is superb with his comedy along with Vennela Kishore. The other cast are new people and they have done well.

Analysis
Bimbisara is a time travel film that has been mounted on a lavish scale. The connection between the past and present is nicely brought in at the interval point. The manner in which director Vashist has narrated the film with a solid dose of action is quite good.
The way Kalyan Ram’s character makes a transformation is also quite amazing. The negative side of the king, how he comes to the present day and the manner in which the story is linked in all this entertains the audience completely.
MM Keeravani is the unsung hero of the film with his solid BGM. He elevates each scene in a solid manner and shows all his experience. There is no lag in the scenes and some more established actors would have made a load of difference.
Bimbisara is a film that has action, comedy and drama at its best. The Telugu audience who are vexed by watching routine action dramas will love this film which is different and is yet entertaining. This one deserves a big screen experience.
Bottom Line – Gritty Action Drama
