Natasimha Nandamuri Balakrishna has predicted that his upcoming movie Bhagavanth Kesari will be a blockbuster hit at the Telugu box office this year. As the film is scheduled to be released on October 19, the star spoke to the media during a press meet organised here in Hyderabad on Sunday.
Balayya further explained the connection that his film has with the Dasara festival. He said he is happy for Bhagavanth Kesari coming before audiences as his 108th film.
“My film is releasing during this festival when Goddess Durgamma is celebrating her Navratri. Durga means female power. The story of this movie is also about women power. Durgamma’s vehicle is a tiger. This movie has a slogan — ‘Bheti Ko Bhanao Sher’. Also the name of the movie also starts with God. Nelakonda Bhagavanth Kesari is high energy. Director Anil Ravipudi has done some entertaining stuff earlier. He did Pataas with my elder brother’s son Kalyan Ram. He also remixed my song in it. If you watch Ravipudi’s movies, they are all different. We both took this film as a challenge. We did a lot of homework. Whatever I do, I keep my fans in mind,” he said.
Bhagavanth Kesari is touted to be an action drama and a true story of Nelakonda Bhagavanth Kesari. The film is produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi under the Shine Screens banner. The cinematography is by C Ram Prasad and the music has been composed by S Thaman.
Bhagavanth Kesari is directed by Anil Ravipudi and features Balakrishna in the titular role of Bhagavanth Kesari while actors Arjun Rampal, Kajal Aggarwal, Sreeleela and R. Sarathkumar play key roles. The film is 155 minutes long and is censored with U/A certificate.
Speaking on the occasion, Balayya said, “Bhagwant Kesari’s trailer has impressed my fans, audience and everyone who loves Telugu cinema. The movie is going to be a massive entertainer. Anil is a director who knows what he wants from actors and technicians. A director like him is a boon to the industry. Thaman broke the boxes with his music during Akhanda. He is a very talented person. The background music is composed of wonderful songs,” he actor added.
