Bellamkonda Srinivas is a struggling star kid. But he has good money to invest in any sort of project if he gets convinced even half-heartedly. Recently, he ventured into Bollywood with the remake of Prabhas’ career-acclaimed movie ‘Chatrapathi’. The Hindi remake was directed by VV Vinayak. But Bellamkonda didn’t take time to realise that he burnt his hands.
‘Chatrapathi’ came 18 years ago, it was a cult classic back then earning Prabhas a massive stardom among the top heroes. To remake it in Hindi, poor Bellamkonda was tricked by the YouTube views. Yes, one of his movies which was dubbed in Hindi, got massive views on YouTube, he felt that he gets so much praise from Hindi audiences he could easily win over their hearts if he makes a direct Hindi film. That’s how he planned ‘Chatrapathi’ just by going with the views.
After the movie was released in theatres, there were none to watch the film. No audiences at all. So it left a massive disaster. Also the distributors and exhibitors were too badly affected by the poor show. Now leaving profits, the hero is racking his head on how to recover half the amount (Rs 50 crore). Even no OTT is daring to buy it. On top of it, memes and funny jokes kept circulating on Twitter on how Bellamkonda was bruised by the loss.
