Balayya in triple role. Balakrishna performance alone won the hearts of the public when ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ was released in theatres in January. But the double role he played in the film didn’t match the taste of the audience.
One role was as a faction leader Veera Simha Reddy taking on his opponents in the Rayalaseema district and the other as Jai Simha who was bred and raised in Istanbul. Fans commented that the combination of Jai Simha’s character (Balayya) romancing Shruti Haasan was unpleasant to watch on the screen. Many fans felt that producers could have at least put another hero in the place of Jai Simha’s character.
Although the story has nothing new to offer, Nandamuri’s dialogues and unmatched performance that he delivered was exceptional.
Now, Balayya is playing a triple role in his next movie. Anil Ravipudi is directing it. Balayya will play a 30-year-old youngster, a 50-year-old man and another 70-year-old wise man. Too heavy to imagine him. Isn’t that so?
The story goes this way. A 30-year-old Balayya commits a crime in haste and happens to undergo a 14 years jail term. He gets released at the age of 50. How life gets transformed and the events form the crux of the story.
There’s an emotional track between Balayya and his daughter. And the flashback looks wild giving interesting episodes of the story. However, Balayya would pull it off with his swag. Collection-wise, the film might do better as Anil Ravipudi is in charge of the film. But for serious movie lovers, it will surely be a disappointment.
