Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2 remuneration:
Nandamuri Balakrishna known for his powerful performances is currently ruling the Telugu film industry. He has surpassed top actors like Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna and Venkatesh in delivering continuous box office successes. Films like Akhanda, Veera Simha Reddy, Bhagavanth Kesari and Dacoit Maharaj have all crossed ₹100 crore collections, making him the leading star. Now, Balakrishna is aiming for a rare double hat-trick with two more upcoming projects. He is carefully selecting stories and directors to maintain his winning streak.
Balakrishna faced a tough phase before the COVID-19 pandemic, struggling with consecutive flops. However his second daughter Tejaswini reportedly started influencing his film choices, leading to a drastic change in his fortunes. Now, he is teaming up with Boyapati Srinu once again for Akhanda 2, which is planned as a pan-India release. A recent photo of Balakrishna from the shooting set has gone viral on social media, creating excitement among fans. With the success of Akhanda’s Hindi version on YouTube, Boyapati is said to be crafting an even more intense role for Balakrishna ’s Aghora character.
For Akhanda 2, Balakrishna is reportedly charging ₹35 crore, the highest in his career. Balakrishna has always been flexible regarding his remuneration, often prioritizing the success of his films. However, after witnessing the box office performances of his recent films, producers have voluntarily increased his pay. Veera Simha Reddy producers Mythri Movie Makers, Bhagavanth Kesari makers Shine Screens, and Dacoit Maharaj producers Sithara Entertainments all raised his fee without him asking. Now, Akhanda 2 producers have followed suit, offering ₹35 crore.
Balakrishna in return has used a portion of his earnings to gift music director Thaman an expensive luxury car. With Akhanda 2 shaping up to be a grand film, fans are eagerly waiting to see if Balakrishna can continue his golden streak.
