The film “Aavesham,” starring Fahadh Faasil, achieved significant success this year, sparking rumors about a Telugu remake featuring Nandamuri Balakrishna. However, the renowned actor has reportedly declined to take on the lead role in the Aavesham remake.
As per inside reports, Balakrishna chose not to participate in the remake due to his dislike of darker characters. A source close to the actor revealed that Balakrishna believes heroes should inspire audiences and oppose wrongdoers, rather than embody villainous traits.
Further reports suggest that no formal discussions had taken place regarding Balakrishna’s involvement in the Aavesham remake. Additionally, the actor is currently occupied with several other film projects. This isn’t the first time Balakrishna has turned down a role in a remake. He previously declined to star in a Telugu version of “Jilla,” a film originally featuring Thalapathy Vijay and Mohanlal.
Nandamuri Kalyan Ram had planned to finance the “Jilla” remake with Balakrishna taking on Mohanlal’s role. However, due to the negative aspects of the character, Balakrishna refused to participate.
“Aavesham,” with Fahadh Faasil in the lead, portrays him as a gangster named Ranga. The story follows three teenagers starting college in Bengaluru who face harassment from seniors. To deal with these problems, they seek help from the local gangster, Ranga.
As the plot unfolds, the gangster himself becomes a source of trouble for the teenagers, leading to numerous comedic and emotional situations. Directed by Jithu Madhavan, known for “Romancham,” the film boasts an impressive cast, including Sajin Gopu, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mithun Jai Shankar, Hipzster, Roshan Shahnavaz and Midhutty in significant roles.
