Nandamuri Balakrishna makes sure to entertain the audience in his own away and doesn’t really care about the end results of his films. This gained him a lot of popularity and fan base among the audience. 2019 turned out to be a bit disappointing year fro him till now as his dream project NTR biopic turned out to be a colossal failure.
The biopic got made in two parts, NTR: Kathanayakudu and NTR: Mahanayakudu. Both the films released earlier this year and bombed badly at the box office. There were a lot of expectations on the film prior to the release. The overseas rights of NTR biopic got sold for a staggering amount of Rs. 11 crores. But unfortunately, the film’s failure ended up the distributors in huge losses.
This has damaged the fate of Balayya’s upcoming film Ruler. Now, the overseas rights of this film got sold on a commission basis. This makes the distributors fall in a safe zone, irrespective of the result. With this, Balayya became the only hero whose two films did a contrasting business in the overseas, in the same calendar year. Directed by KS Ravi Kumar, Ruler is releasing on December 20. Vedhika and Sonal Chauhan are the female leads of this film.
