Bagheera OTT: Here’s when and where to watch
Sriimurali’s action-packed Kannada movie Bagheera directed by Dr. Suri, is creating history as it prepares for its OTT debut. This milestone marks the first Kannada film to stream on Netflix breaking barriers for regional cinema. The streaming giant recently announced that Bagheera will be available on November 21, 2024, in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
Initially released during the festive Diwali season in 2024 Bagheera managed to grab attention despite competing with several major releases. Its digital rights were secured by Netflix making it a significant achievement for the Kannada film industry which had not previously collaborated with this platform for streaming. Until now most Kannada films were available only on smaller platforms, while Netflix primarily featured Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam movies.

Produced under Hombale Films, the movie features a stellar cast including Sriimurali, Rukmini Vasanth, Prakash Raj, Achyuth Kumar, Sudha Rani, and Ramachandra Raju. The script, crafted by Prashanth Neel, is complemented by Arjun Shetty’s cinematography and B. Ajaneesh Loknath’s music.
The film tells a gripping story filled with action and drama, appealing to audiences across languages. It emerged as a box office hit, earning ₹29 crore worldwide by mid-November 2024 with ₹16 crore collected in India alone.
