Filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s visual extravaganza with Baahubali franchise has opened the realms of fantasy world to the audience with ecstasy. The series not only earned laurels to to Telugu cinema but it won accolades across the nation and its popularity transcended boundaries as well. Many Hollywood actors and filmmakers were left in awe with this fictitious world and our Tollywood actors earned wider name and fame globally.
This day, July 6, Baahubali has completed seven years and it’s official Twitter handle went down memory lane and shared unseen pictures on the first day of the shoot. The pictures shows massive audience queued up to watch their favourite stars. The caption reads, “July 6, 2013. The moment when it all began! We started the shoot of #Baahubali on this day 7 years ago…” Apart from Prabhas, the film has a stellar cast with the likes of Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Ramya Krishna, Sathyaraj, and Nassar in pivotal roles. The first franchise earned Rs 650 crore worldwide while the second installment raked in Rs 1027.84 crore worldwide. Baahubali 2 is the highest grossing Indian film and first Indian film to have 9.3 rating on IMDb.
Post Baahubali, Prabhas starred in Sujeeth’s Saaho. The multi-lingual release failed to impress the Telugu audience, but considering Prabhas’s popularity the Hindi box-office was roaring. Now, the Rebel Star has teamed up with Radha Krishna Kumar for a period film which stars Pooja Hegde.
