The newly opened Ram Mandir in Ayodhya has been warmly welcoming visitors since January 23. The temple has now become a magnet for devotees attracting massive 18.75 lakh pilgrims so far.
The inaugural day alone witnessed a shocking 5 lakh visitors, and the momentum has persisted with daily footfalls averaging over 2 lakh. On the other hand, just yesterday itself, 3.25 lakh people came to Ayodhya to have a darshan of Bala Rama. Devotees from diverse states across India and other countries, besides those from various districts of Uttar Pradesh, are arriving at the temple town in substantial numbers.
To manage the immense crowds, the local authorities and the temple trust have been working hard by implementing good measures to ensure the safety standards in temple premises. The architectural marvel stands proudly in the traditional Nagara style with 392 pillars and 44 intricately carved doors depicting all the Hindu deities.
Recognizing the surge in devotees, the temple administration has introduced specific time slots for darshan, accommodating the schedules of the eager visitors. ‘Aarti’ ceremonies are also scheduled both in the morning and evening. The completion of the temple is eagerly awaited, with expectations set for December 2024.
