Avika Gor currently promoting her upcoming film Bloody Ishq recently shared insights about her relationship with Milind Chandwani on a podcast hosted by Harsh Limbachia and Bharti Singh. Known for her role in Balika Vadhu Avika recounted how she met Milind in Hyderabad and fell in love at first sight. She humorously mentioned that she considers herself already married to him in her mind.
Avika described their initial meeting and the journey that followed. She met Milind who is a corporate professional and runs an NGO through a mutual friend in Hyderabad. Despite her immediate feelings for him, Milind kept her in the friend zone for six months. Reflecting on this period, Avika said, “He is a 9-5 corporate guy who also runs an NGO. We met each other through a mutual friend in Hyderabad. He friend-zoned me for six months. I started liking him from day one. I was very sure about him. In the beginning, I also agreed to be friends. Mera bhi ego agaya ki hum toh hum dost hi rahenge (I also became egoistic and said let’s be just friends). But within a few weeks, I was very sure about him.
When Avika first introduced Milind to her family her mother quickly suspected their relationship was more than just friendship. “I introduced him as a friend par Maa toh maa hoti hai. She figured it out. I was involved with him in conversations and raising funds for his NGO!” Avika continued, “Maine toh pehle hi bola hua tha (I had proposed to him six months ago). Woh bahoth samjhdar hai (He is very intelligent). After six months, he told me, ‘Okay, I love you, too!’ So I asked him ‘Yeh the machine kya drama kya tha?’ and like a nice boy he explained to me that he didn’t want to rush things and see we actually liked each other as friends and only then we take things forward.

Avika eager to marry revealed that Milind prefers a more cautious approach. “Mere health mein hota toh main sadhe char saal pehle shaadi kar chuki hoti (If it were in my hands, I would have got married four years ago). Kuch Socha nahin tha (I didn’t need to think much). Ab jo hai yahi hai. Mere damage mein ho chuki hai shaadi (I am married to him in my head). But he was sensible enough. He told me, ‘You’re still 26 and I am 32. You take your time to work and see life,’ she added.
The couple began dating in 2020 and often share their moments on social media. Avika Gor gained widespread fame with her portrayal of Anandi in Balika Vadhu and also starred in Sasural Simar Ka. Additionally, she has appeared in Telugu films such as Lakshmi Raave Maa Intiki, Cinema Choopistha Mava, #Bro, and Net.
