Performances
Kiri and Neteyam do a splendid job in their roles. Stephen Lang is now a baddie you love to hate and hate to love. Zoe Saldana is amazing for what she does with Neytiri. The actors who played the kids are superb. The performance enhances the film and the VFX done on them is also neat.
Analysis
Avatar 2 has a runtime of over three hours. So, to enjoy the film one also needs a lot of patience. The visual brilliance will surely blow your mind. The 3D format only gets better and the scenic view of Pandora will leave you spellbound. James Cameron understands emotions and how to use them. If the man has made us root for a fictional race of aliens and reciprocates their pain, he has done it in a solid manner.
The VFX work is the best you ever saw on the screen. The way Pandora and the water world are showcased is on another level. The best part is the human emotions which James has given a lot of importance in the film. The music is just perfect and examining the technicalities of the visual department is way beyond the expertise of more than half of the population of this planet.
The Way Of Water is a very personal movie that doesn’t try to please the audience but is content with itself. James Cameron takes his own sweet time to establish the plot and he manages to showcase the film in a manner that will be loved by kids, adults, and movie lovers alike. Barring the slow pace, Avatar 2 makes up for the theatrical experience one should not miss on the big screen.
Bottom Line – Visually breathtaking drama
