Former AIADMK member AV Raju’s recent controversial statement linking actress Trisha to an ex-MLA has sparked outrage on the internet. Expelled from the party for violating rules, Raju disclosed events from the Koovathur resort in 2017, claiming an MLA’s desire to have Trisha present was fulfilled by the then Chief Minister.
In response, Trisha, expressing her dismay, announced her intention to pursue legal action against Raju. The film fraternity and fans rallied behind the actress, condemning Raju’s derogatory remarks. The FEFSI organization also voiced their disapproval of AV Raju’s statements.
Trisha, taking to social media, wrote, “It’s disgusting to repeatedly see low lives and despicable human beings who will stoop down to any level to gain attention. Rest assured, necessary and severe action will be taken. Anything that needs to be said and done henceforth will be from my legal department.”
Following the widespread backlash, AV Raju offered apologies to Trisha in a press interaction, asserting his words were misinterpreted by the media. He claimed to refer to a woman resembling Trisha, not the actress herself. The situation awaits Trisha’s response to Raju’s apology.
