Are Balakrishna and Allu Aravind Also Linked to Betting Apps?
Nandamuri Balakrishna, a well-known Telugu actor and politician, has recently found himself in the middle of a controversy. Reports suggest that his name is linked to the ongoing betting app scandal. Allegations are circulating that Balakrishna promoted a betting app called Fun88 during the second season of his popular talk show “Unstoppable” on the Aha OTT platform.
The issue has gained attention since numerous actors and influencers are under investigation for endorsing betting apps. Previously, celebrities like Rana Daggubati, Manchu Lakshmi, Prakash Raj and Vijay Deverakonda faced similar accusations. Police have already filed cases against several personalities in connection to these promotions.
A resident of Nellore identified as Sri Rambabu claimed that he lost ₹80 lakh through the app. He blamed Balakrishna’s promotion in one of the Aha Unstoppable episodes as the reason he trusted the platform. This has further intensified the controversy putting Balakrishna in a challenging spot.
Additionally, Allu Aravin, the founder of Aha is also facing criticism. As the OTT platform owner, he may have to respond to legal actions regarding the promotion of betting platforms in Unstoppable with NBK.
Authorities, including Cyber Crime officials, are investigating the matter. They are examining the involvement of celebrities and the extent of their promotions. Legal experts suggest that those found guilty of misleading the public through endorsements could face serious legal consequences.
While neither Balakrishna nor Allu Aravind has released an official statement yet, the scandal continues to dominate headlines. Fans and industry insiders are eagerly waiting for clarifications and updates from those involved.
