The Mozart of Madras AR Rahman is a global face and one of the most celebrated musicians we have. However, the Oscar-winning composer has revealed a shocking fact about himself which has sent has triggered a shock to many. Rahman said that there was a time when he felt low and contemplated suicide till the age of 25.
AR Rahman Had Suicidal Tendencies
“Up until 25, I used to think about suicide. Most of us feel they are not good enough. Because I lost my father, there was this void… There were so many things happening. (But) that in a way made me more fearless. Death is a permanent thing for everyone. Since everything created has an expiry date, so why be afraid of anything?” Rahman said.
Rahman spoke about his personal moments in the “Notes of a Dream: The Authorized Biography of AR Rahman” written by Krishna Trilok.
