APSRTC has decided to hike the bus fares which will be in effect from tomorrow. The bus fares will go up to 10paise per km in rural light buses while 20 paise per kilometre in other services.
The decision has come close on the heels of fares hike by TSRTC increasing bus charges after employees calling off the strike. The transport minister of Andhra Pradesh Perni Nani announced the decision of fare hire on Saturday. It has become the book for the two corporations to get out the burden with the charges increasing.
