The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is facing legal scrutiny as the High Court of Andhra Pradesh has issued notices to him in a personal capacity.
The notices are in connection to the alleged improper utilization of government funds for the political benefits of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP).
According to reports, the government of Andhra Pradesh approved funds for advertisements and publications that were purportedly designed to support the YSRCP’s political agenda. A petition was filed with the Andhra Pradesh High Court, triggering a hearing that prompted the court to send notices not only to Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy but also to the AP Financial Secretary and the YSRCP special correspondent.
