Despite the romantic portrayal, these moments that are private and intimate, can be awkward to recreate in front of a large film crew. She recounted a particularly uncomfortable car scene from the Tillu Square movie, highlighting her difficulty of performing such a romantic scene in such situations. She said romantic scenes are very difficult to execute for actors.
Despite the challenges, Anupama understands the importance of delivering a convincing performance to please the audience. She stressed the need to act well, even if it means pretending to enjoy the romance on screen. Anupama wants viewers to understand the effort and discomfort that actors endure while shooting such scenes, dispelling the misconception that they’re actually enjoying themselves.
