Andhagan OTT:
The much-awaited Tamil crime thriller Andhagan, starring Prashanth, is now available on Amazon Prime Video after several delays. Released in theaters on August 9, 2024, the film received positive reviews and marked a significant comeback for Prashanth.
Directed by Thiagarajan, Andhagan is a Tamil adaptation of the Hindi hit Andhadhun, originally starring Ayushmann Khurrana. Thiagarajan acquired the remake rights back in 2019, outbidding other prominent filmmakers. After a few changes in directors, Thiagarajan himself helmed the project.
Filming began in 2021, with most scenes shot in Chennai. The movie faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic but eventually became a commercial success upon its theatrical release. Critics praised Prashanth’s performance, marking it as his return to form after a series of setbacks.
Andhagan features a captivating soundtrack by Santhosh Narayanan, cinematography by Ravi Yadav, and editing by Sathish Suriya. The cast includes Priya Anand, Simran, and Urvashi, who delivered compelling performances.
