Anand Devarakonda made his debut with the film Dorasani. Though the film flopped, Anand won grace marks for his role as a village boy. From there, he has shifted gears and did a simple film called Middle-Class Melodies. The film won a lot of appreciation already. By seeing this, one can understand that Anand knows his strength and that is the reason, he is choosing some very realistic films. Both his first two films have rooted emotions. 
He is in no hurry to signs films and is taking his time and wants to do realistic dramas. The same is going to be with his third film as well as Anand is playing a government teacher with a realistic approach. This given an idea that he is choosing his films so cleverly. He is not here to do films like a star and that is the reason is trying to carve a niche for himself. How far will be successful needs to be seen?
