Analysis – What went wrong with Keerthy Suresh post-Mahanti?
Keerthy Suresh is a beautiful actress and there is no denying the fact. Mahanati made the world understand what kind of an actress she is. Keerthy even won a national award for the film. But since then, things have been going quite tough for her. None of her films have clicked and now the craze of Keerthy has come down. Who is to blame for all this is the big question.
Looking at her career, one can understand that though she is doing films with top heroes, she is never considered a No 1 heroine in the south. Actors like Nayanthara, Samantha, and Pooja Hegde are still ruling the roost along with Rashmika. Things have gone so bad that Keerthy’s debut Hindi film was also gone into problems and she had to come out. One can also say that there is no one for Keerthy who can suggest to her what kind of films that she should do in her career.
Three back to back releases after Mahanati have bombed. Penguin, Miss India, and Saamy Square all of them have become flops. She is also ready with a film called Good Luck Sakhi that is also one more female-oriented script. But that film is more of an art film than mainstream cinema. On a personal front, her weight loss has also not worked in her favor as people love her healthy look.
So, looks like Keerthy has learned things in a harsh manner and finally decided to do films and roles that people want her to see her in. She will next be seen in Mahesh’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata and has also a young love story called Rang De. This clearly proves that she wants to film for the youth and share screen space with star heroes. Let’s hope that Keerthy Suresh makes a rocking come back and prove that she is not a one-film wonder.
