As Vijay Sethupathi has a good craze, all his films are being dubbed in Telugu. The latest film is Anabelle Setupathi. Read our review to know if the film is good or not.
Plot
Rudra(Vijay Sethupathi) is a thief who plans to rob a palace. Once she enters the palace, she comes to know that she has a special history with it and also Veera(Vijay Setupathi) who built it. The rest of the story is as to what Rudra does and how Veera gets involved in the setup.
Performances
For those who think that Vijay Setupathi is the main hero, you will be mistaken. He has only a brief role but creates a good impact with his look and body language. Once again, Taapsee is the center of attraction and was amazing as Rudra. She does well in all the scenes with Vijay and carries the film on her shoulders.
Analysis
The film has many tracks but the one that makes some sense is the flashback portions. The director has made sure that he evokes good emotions during this time and has good performances.
The comedy showcased is so irritating that you feel like leaving the film mid-way. Also, the horror angle in the film is also not that great. The connection between the tracks is not at all established well.
Taapsee’s act is sincere but after a point, she too cannot do anything as the drama does not evoke any interest. Don’t try to watch this film seeing the big star cast as even the likes of Vijay Sethupathi and Taapsee cannot save this film.
Bottom Line – Silly and over the top.
