She has admitted that she was subjected to gender harassment in the film industy. She said even down south, she faced problems and had very bad experiences. She had recently said that a star hero harassed her while she was working in the South Indian film industry. Now, she has done only three films.

She said the hero who harassed her was the son-in-law of a super star in Tamil industry. We all know Dhanush is the son-in-law of Rajinikanth.
